Reagan Middle School opened in the fall of 2004, built as a prototype modeled after Jackson and Arnold Middle Schools. The building itself has approximately 138,970 square feet and sets on about seventy-nine acres, with part of that acreage conserved for future district growth. The design and construction of the building was also planned so that the wetland areas on the site would be preserved.
Reagan had an average of five hundred eighty-five students and teachers its opening year and had grown to eight hundred three students and sixty-one faculty and staff members at the beginning of the 2008-2009 year. The ethnic makeup of the school at that time was African Americans - 32%, Hispanics - 32%, Anglos - 30%, and
Asians - 6%.
Reagan Middle School is located on the southeastern side of Grand Prairie at 4616 East Bardin Road. |
